Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shahrukh Khan said he will go to the Eden Gardens to watch Sachin Tendulkar in action on the final day of his penultimate Test match.

“I will go on November 10. I am going to Kolkata for a film festival and I will try and attend the Test match there. I will see if I can reach, land up there and wish him,” the actor was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.

Tendulkar, who had announced that the Test series against the West Indies would be his last, is set to play his farewell match at his homeground in Wankhede. However, a brawl in 2012 between Shahrukh and a security personnel at the stadium resulted in the actor being banned from entering the stadium.

“There are some places [Wankhede Stadium] where they don’t allow even Shahrukh Khan to go. You wait three hours for me out of love, there are people who don’t want me,” he said.

Earlier the actor had expressed disappointment when Tendulkar had announced retirement from Test cricket last month.

“When I heard about it I was in Australia… I learned about it a little late…I felt bad. He has taken the decision as he understands sports better. He did a lot for cricket. He should take rest, relax and enjoy with family,” the actor had said.
