The lousy Wankhede Stadium suddenly went into pin-drop silence as Sachin Tendulkar got out on 74 on Day two of the second Test. Tendulkar was caught in the slips by Darren Sammy off Narsingh Deonarine’s bowling. Below are some Twitter reactions to encapsulating the historic moment.

There were huge expectations of the Little Master scoring a century in his final Test and to sustain the innings and also complete 16,000 runs in Test cricket.

Tendulkar had walked out to bat at the loss of Murali Vijay’s wicket. While Vijay was walking back in dejection, the crowd erupted in joy as the Little Master walked out to bat.
