Kolkata is leaving no stone unturned to accord a grand farewell to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar when he plays his penultimate Test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 6-10.

Even the match tickets will commemorate his genius with a portrait of a young Tendulkar by renowned painter Jogen Chowdhury.

A curly haired 16-year-old Sachin, in pen and ink, adorns the opening day ticket which went on sale on October 25. The design is sure to send his legions of followers on a trip down memory lane.

“It is a privilege to be associated with such a monumental event. The portrait shows a young Sachin, all raring to go,” Chowdhury told IANS.

Tendulkar announced earlier that the two Test series against the West Indies will bring the curtains down on his illustrious 24-year-long career.

The legend will play his 199th Test at the Eden Gardens and the farewell match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from November 14-18.
