Retired India batsman Sachin Tendulkar shared a picture from his childhood, which featured former India team-mate Vinod Kambli standing next to him. The legendary batsman shared the picture on photo-sharing service Instagram.

“Down to the memory lane..#tbt,” read the caption of the post, which was received by thousands of likes shortly afterwards.

The post was the first instance of Tendulkar mentioning Kambli after a long time. The duo, who shared a world-record unbroken 664-run stand during their teenage years, have not been on talking terms for quite some time now, with Kambli’s wayward lifestyle playing a major role in the meltdown of his career.

Kambli went on to accuse Tendulkar of deliberately ignoring him during his retirement speech after playing his farewell Test in November 2013. The southpaw even went on to accuse the ‘Master Blaster’ of not doing enough to save him from his self-destructive behaviour. Kambli played 17 Tests and 104 One-Day Internationals (ODI) for India between 1991 and 2000. He held an impressive Test average of 54.20, including two double-centuries. He also scored nearly 10,000 runs in 129 First-Class appearances. READ: Kambli goes on abusing spree on Twitter
