Australia bowling legend has included two India greats in his all-time greatest World ODI XI. The playing XI has been picked from cricketers he played with or against during his international career.

International cricket’s most prolific batsman Sachin Tendulkar and hard-hitting Virender Sehwag are the two Indian who have made the cut in his list.

In fact, Sehwag, who made name for his free-spirited batting while opening innings across formats, has been made the opener of this XI alongside another legend Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka.

Jayasuriya alongside countryman Romesh Kaluwitharana are widely regarded as the pair who redefined the role of openers from being settlers to aggressors.

At No. 3 is Tendulkar, whose 18426 runs in ODIs is the most by any in international cricket’s history.

West Indian legend Brian Lara and Kevin Pietersen, one of England’s all-time great, follow at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. Kumar Sangakkara is the wicketkeeper batsman, again one of the finest exponents of his craft.

Andrew Flintoff is the lone allrounder.

The bowling attack consists if three pacers in Wasim Akram, Curtly Ambrose and Shoaib Akhtar with Daniel Vettori as the specialist spinner.

” If you look at this side, this is pretty amazing,” Warne said in an Instagram live video on Tuesday .
