Sachin Tendulkar’s glorious record against Australia has earned him various fans from Down Under. Australia’s High Commissioner to India, Patrick Suckling is no exception. The official sent out his message on Tendulkar’s retirement.

“Sachin will be greatly missed by cricket lovers.” He promptly added to it saying, “Glad that he (Sachin) is not going to play against Australia again.”

“He is a loved cricketer around the world. Sachin is greatly admired and respected in Australia. He is a global figure,” Suckling was quoted as saying by DNA.

Tendulkar’s reputation had already initiated comparisons with Sir Don Bradman in Australia. The Little Master was also conferred Member of the Order of Australia for his service in promoting goodwill, friendship and sportsmanship between India-Australia.
