Sachin Tendulkar spent his Independence Day celebrating with children from the Make Wish Foundation. Tendulkar, who is the most successful batsman in cricketing history, is renowned for being a staunch patriot. Many would remember him wearing a tricolour patch on his helmet while batting. He holds more records in cricket than any other batsman in history. These include records like most runs scored in ODIs and Tests, most centuries scored in both ODIs and Tests (and subsequently in international cricket), and most matches played across formats.
