Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Kapil Dev promote sports in Satyamev Jayate
Yuvraj Singh said that sports helped him in fighting back from cancer.

The third season of Satyamev Jayate started with an episode on the theme of ”Lets Play India”, and featured famous Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Kapil Dev. The episode also featured a former hockey player Balbir Singh Sr. who was part of three Olympic gold medal winning teams.
Aamir Khan along with others on the show, spoke about how sports led to a holistic development of the individual and kids should be encouraged to indulge in it. He also said that the disparity between India and other countries in terms of sports was huge, and there needed to be a concerted effort in order to change that. If sports is given the encouragement it requires, the effect will definitely show in terms of medals in international events like the Olympics and the Asian Games.
Sachin Tendulkar appeared live on call and promoted his sports4all initiative. Tendulkar said that sports was discouraged in our country and academics was given higher preference. He thanked his professors in school, who encouraged his cricket. He also said that sports instilled many positive qualities in students, and therefore, should be included as a subject.
Yuvraj Singh too appeared on the show and inspired the youth of Punjab to give up intoxication and pick up sports. Yuvraj also said that sports helped him recover from cancer. He said that when he was sick, he used his desire to play for the country, as his motivation to beat the disease.
Kapil Dev, too was a guest on the show, and spoke his mind on why sports needed to be given more importance than what is currently being given to it.
