Sanjiv Goenka has HEATED argument with Rishabh Pant following PBKS defeat, gets called ‘worst IPL owner’
Goenka and Pant have heated argument after PBKS defeat
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered an 8-wicket defeat to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday. It was a poor performance overall from the Lucknow-based franchise who were far behind the opposition in both the batting and bowling departments throughout the match.
One of the main disappointments for LSG in their first 3 games of the season has undoubtedly been Rishabh Pant, who isn’t looking on track to justify his price tag of INR 27 crore. The wicketkeeper-batter has been misfiring both with the bat and as captain.
Goenka has developed a reputation of asking questions to his team’s captains. In the past, even KL Rahul had to face Goenka’s wrath on the field over the team’s defeats. Pant had a similar meeting with the LSG owner following the side’s defeat to PBKS.
During his argument with Pant after the match on Tuesday, Goenka was even seen pointing a finger his finger at the LSG captain. This moment went viral on social media with fans criticizing Goenka for his behaviour and even labelling him as the ‘worst IPL owner’.
