Rajasthan Royals (RR) have marked a solid campaign so far, as they have won their second match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 by handing Punjab kings a 50- run defeat. Sanju Samson had also marked his comeback as a captain in RR after missing out on the first few games of the tournament due to injury.

This victory marks Sanju to have won 32 games as a captain of Rajasthan Royals in 62 matches, securing his name at the top position for the record for the captain of RR with the most wins. The previous record was held by Shane Warne with 31 victories in 55 matches.

Coming to the match, the Rajasthan-based franchise rode on Jaiswal’s 45-ball 67, skipper Sanju Samson’s 26-ball 38 and Riyan Parag’s unbeaten 43 to post a formidable total of 205/4 after being put in to bat by PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer. In reply, PBKS lost four quick wickets to be in dire straits at 43/4 on one stage before Nehal Wadhera (62) and Glenn Maxwell (30) steadied the ship with an 88-run stand for the fifth wicket.
