They also thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 19 runs. RR had posted a huge total of 217 on board, courtesy Sanju Samson's 45-ball 92. Samson has been in top form for RR since the beginning of 2018 IPL.

He has so far scored 178 from 3 matches at 89 with strike rate of 163.30. Samson, ahead of their clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Jaipur, mentioned he is prepared for upcoming challenges: "In the past my domestic performances weren t great. Plus IPL is the kind of tournament where the stage is set and you just to have to go and express yourself," as quoted by Hindustan Times.

However, Samson will have to face a different challenge against the KKR spin attack - Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla who have been match-winners for their side. Samson revealed the plans to counterattack the spin troika: "The plan is the same to keep it simple, to go out there and get another win for the team. The energy and enthusiasm is high. Yes, they (KKR) are a different team; the conditions are different so the game plan will also be different."

RR face a tougher challenge in the coming days with 3 back-to-back games spanning from April 18 to April 22. Speaking about the hectic schedule of IPL, Samson added: "Yes the IPL schedule is hectic but you need to plan for your recovery (after the match), which is very important. It is the responsibility of the player to refresh their bodies for the next match."
