England Women cricketer Sarah Taylor becomes the first woman to be inducted in the Legends Lane at the Brighton and Hove County Cricket Ground at Hove. Taylor joins some of the legends of the game like Imran Khan and Ted Dexter to be bestowed with that honour. She was very excited to get this. She said, “ “I feel really honoured to take my place in Legends Lane alongside cricketing heroes at Sussex such as Luke Wright, Imran Khan and Ted Dexter.” She went on to say, ““The women’s game has been transformed since I first joined Sussex in 2004. She also said that she couldn’t be more proud of herself and went on to thank Sussex Women’s Cricket Association for their part in making her a successful player. Legends Lane celebrates some of the greatest cricketers to have the famous Sussex shirt. Taylor made her debut for Sussex in 2004 and went on to represent England in 2006. She won the ICC One-Day International (ODI) cricketer of the year in 2014 and Women’s T20 cricketer of the year in 2012 and 2013.
