Sarfaraz Khan, who was recently overlooked for the Indian Test team, has now scored a brilliant century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Ahead of the IPL mini-auction, Sarfaraz Khan scored a century in just 47 balls in a match against Assam. The IPL mini-auction is scheduled for December 16.

Sarfaraz Khan’s innings helped Mumbai post 220 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs against Assam.

This is Sarfaraz Khan’s first century of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season. He slammed eight fours and seven sixes in his unbeaten 100 off 47 balls.

Mumbai defeated Assam by 98 runs

Mumbai won the match against Assam by 98 runs. Batting first, Mumbai scored 220/4 in 20 overs. Apart from Sarfaraz Khan, Ajinkya Rahane scored 42 runs off 32 balls (six fours). Ayush Mhatre scored 21 runs off 15 balls and Surya Kumar Yadav scored 20 runs off 12 balls. Sairaj Patil played a quickfire knock of 25* off nine balls.

In response, Assam were bowled out for 122 runs in 19.1 overs. Shardul Thakur was brilliant with the ball, taking five wickets for 23 runs in three overs.
