The court criticised the board on various counts and said that the IPL has been a mutually beneficial society for the board with administrators holding positions as owners of IPL franchisees.

At one point during the hearing, the board promised that it will take criminal action against those named. In response the court said that they have no option but to take criminal action.

The court earlier during the proceedings had criticised former BCCI chief N Srinivasan saying, “You will have to address question of conflict of interest as head of BCCI and also as owner of IPL team, whose official is found to be involved.”
