Opener Virender Sehwag made a secret visit to London last month before the Lord’s Test to see his doctor Andrew Wallace, who gave a shot of injection on his injured shoulder, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The shoulder injury a slap lesion or labrum (shoulder blade) tear has bothered Sehwag for long, which he picked up during the 2009 edition of the Twenty20 league. It once again surfaced during the third edition of the Indian Premier League which resulted in him missing the entire West Indies tour and the first two Tests in England.

He missed the World T20 championship in England in 2010, also missed the one-day series in South Africa in January 2011, before joining the Indian squad for the World Cup.

After the operation last month, Sehwag came back to Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy, and did rehabilitation over the past fortnight.
