Kolkata: A fatwa has been reportedly issued in Pakistan against Indian model Arshi Khan for posting on social networking site Twitter that she had a physical relationship with Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi. Arshi expressed her “disappointment” at the development. In September, Arshi had posted on Twitter, saying:” Yes, I had sex with Afridi! Do I need the Indian media’s permission to sleep with someone? It’s my personal life. For me it was love.” Reportedly the fatwa was issued by a section of the Pakistan clergy. Reacting to the incident, Arshi on Saturday tweeted: “Very disappointed with Pakistan. Not a word of support for me from anyone against d fatwa. Wake up Pakistan @SAfridiOfficial.” Shahid Afridi visits Pakistan earthquake victims in Peshawar hospital

In reports off the topic, Afridi recently visited the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar on Tuesday to offer his support for the victims of the recent earthquake that struck both his country as well as neighbouring Afghanistan. Afridi is one of the first cricketers to visit the affected areas of the calamity, which has seen 311 deaths so far according to latest reports. “Visited #earthquake victims at lady reading hospital Pesh KPK, real trauma of the situation #SAF donated Rs5m,” said Afridi, who has reportedly donated Pakistani Rupee (PKR) 50 Lakh towards the victims’ relief fund, with Shahid Afridi Foundation working in different affected parts of the country at the moment. Besides Afridi, the rest of the Pakistan team, currently playing a three-match Test series against England, is in a state of shock following the natural disaster.
