Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan might statistically be the best cricketer in the world, if one is to go by the cricketer’s Wikipedia page.

Al Hasan’s Wikipedia page claims that he is a Bangladeshi international cricketer and statistically the most successful player in the Cricket World’s history, which reportedly is obviously way off, with Don Bradman and Jacques Kallis among a host of legends with a more rightful claim to that tag.

However, the explanation behind the excitement of Wikipedia profile writer’s excitement might be because in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings, released this week,

Al Hasan became the first player in history to become the top all-rounder in all three formats of the game, News.com.au reported.

The talented left-handed batsman and left-arm spinner has proved his metal in all three formats of the game and is currently ranked as the number one player in the same.

Sri Lanka‘s Kumar Sangakkara is ranked the best Test batsman in the world right now, South African AB de Villiers the best one-day batsman and Indian star batsman Virat Kohli the best in Twenty20.

Meanwhile, South African paceman Dale Steyn is considered the top bowler in Tests, West IndiesSunil Narine is the highest ranked one-day bowler and his countryman Samuel Badree the best in Twenty20.

But the only man to dominate all three formats in his field, combined in batting and bowling, is Al Hasan, the report added.
