Australian spin wizard Shane Warne has hinted at a possible comeback to competitive cricket as he has been getting a lot of offers to play in the upcoming Big Bash competition.

Warne was quoted in ESPNSTAR as saying, “As far as the Big Bash, there have been a lot of offers for it. I haven’t had a chance to catch up, so I haven’t really sat down and done the pros and cons and see if I want to do it.

“Or, is it a great way to give something back to Australian cricket, when they are starting something new, as a great way to help younger players, I don’t know?”

Warne also insisted that fitness will not be a hindrance in his comeback into competitive cricket.

“I’m the fittest I’ve been in my life and I’m still bowling pretty well the last time I bowled,” he said.

The leg-spinner, retired from all forms of cricket five months ago after competing in his fourth Indian Premier League.

The Big Bash League is set to commence on December 16.
