Cricketâs Paul the octopus tweeted again with his prediction for the Sri Lanka- Australia match to be played in Colombo on Saturday.Â
Â
Shane Warne, in his tweet, predicted a close game with the result favouring the Aussies. “Serious prediction for tonight’s game… Aust will win by 10 runs or 4 wkts….Another close game…” the former Australian tweeted.
Â
Earlier, Warne had predicted the result via Twitter before the India-England match began. “Looking forward to the game between India and England, today should be a cracker. My prediction [is] a tie!” he wrote on Twitter.
Â
As it turned out, England, riding on a century from skipper Andrew Strauss, chased down a mammoth total of 338 posted by India to record a run-feast which ended in a dramatic tie on the last ball.
Â
After the match was over, Warne wrote: “Can’t believe my prediction 7/8 hours ago was right … didn’t think it would happen but hey, not bad.”Â
Â
Self appointed former commissioner of Indian Premier League Lalit Modi had tweeted: “My good friend Shane Warne should become Paul the Octupus.”
If this comes true, the entire twitterati will be glued to his next predictions.
