Shane Watson became the 14th Australian to score 5,000 One-Day International (ODI) runs. He achieved this feat in the fifth and final ODI against England in Southampton on Monday.

Watson when on 124 entered this exclusive list of 5,000-club. He achieved this feat by carting Joe Root for a boundary at deep backward square-leg in the 44th over of the innings.
