According to Indian Express, a BCCI official said, “Before taking the chair of BCCI president, Manohar had clearly stated that his son would resign from all posts in the BCCI. He (Manohar) doesn’t want any conflict of interest issue especially after he has listed out key points to reform BCCI. Manohar had informed BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur that his son will forward him a resignation letter at the earliest. With his son resigning, Manohar has clearly sent a strong message on his first day itself.”
