Kings XI Punjab have lost Shaun Marsh and Wriddhiman Saha who played a fine hand, managing a 50-run partnership. They are now placed at 119 for the loss of four wickets at the end of the 15th over against Rajasthan Royals. Two new batsmen in the form of David Miller and George Bailey will be trying to keep up the good work and post a huge total for Punjab.

Marsh and Saha looked in control during their partnership 50-plus partnership. Both the batsmen found the boundaries, and also rotated the strike well. Marsh looked in fine form.  He hit a few fours and a six as well. With David Miller in now, Punjab will be again eyeing a huge total tonight, if play resumes soon.

Earlier, Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bowl in their crucial game against table toppers, Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2014. Virender Sehwag and Manan Vohra opened the batting for Punjab. It was Vikramjeet Malik who opened the bowling for Rajasthan. Sehwag though, showed his class clouting Malik through the off-side for a boundary.

Sehwag continued on his merry way by clouting again through backward point for a boundary. He ended the over with another six off Malik’s bowling. A fine start by Punjab  for sure. Skipper Shane Watson bowled the second over of the game. Manan Vohra joined the fun by smashing a boundary as well, off Watson’s bowling.

It made Watson think, and he bowled a fine bouncer to keep the batsmen at bay. He also took a heavy toll on James Faulkner’s bowling by smashing him for a boundary.  But Faulkner came back to take Sehwag’s wicket, caught by Malik. A much needed wicket for Rajasthan.

After Sehwag’s departure, Vohra took the attacking initiative, letting Shaun Marsh to settle in. Vohra hit Watson for a four and a six in the fifth over of the innings. But his blitz didn’t last long as he gave his wicket away in the seventh over. Some lazy running saw him lose his wicket.
