Shilpa Shetty also involved in betting, claims bookie Umesh Goenka

In more news on the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting controversy, Shilpa Shetty’s name has also cropped up. Reports claim that the Rajasthan Royals co-owner was also involved in betting during the IPL.

Bookie Umesh Goenka, who was called in for questioning along with Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra on Wednesday, told Delhi police that Shetty was also betting in a match in Jaipur, reports ABP News.

On Thursday, Delhi Police Chief Neeraj Kumar said that Kundra admitted to betting, especially on his own team. Kundra and Goenka were questioned for several hours on Wednesday in connection with the Indian Premier League 2013 spot-fixing and betting controversies.
