West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul on Thursday became the seventh cricketer to play 150 Test match when he took the field against India in the second Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The other players in the distinguished list include Sachin Tendulkar (200), Ricky Ponting (168), Steve Waugh (168), Jacques Kallis (164), Rahul Dravid (164) and Allan Border (156).

Chanderpaul has made most appearances in Tests for West Indies. He is followed by Brian Lara and Courtney Walsh among his countrymen.

However, the spotlight is on Tendulkar, who became the first person in history to play 200 Tests on Thursday.
