On Monday morning BCCI announced the squad for India A. The side will play 5-match ODI series against New Zealand A from October 6. There are not one but two players who will lead India A. While Shreyas Iyer will lead the side for the first three matches, Rishabh Pant will don the captain s cap for the remaining ODIs. Iyer will also be captaining Board President XI (BPXI) in the two warm-up matches against New Zealand’s senior side. Both the practice matches will be held in Mumbai. The first three games includes Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy centurion Prithvi Shaw along with Mayank Agarwal, Deepak Hooda and likes.

The pace department will be handled by Shardul Thakur, Siddarth Kaul, Mohammad Siraj and Basil Thampi. The spin will be taken care of by Shahbaz Nadeem, Karn Sharma and Vijay Shankar. But the teams witness a host of changes after the first three games.

The squad that included Shaw, Hooda, Iyer, Agarwal and Shreevats Goswami will not been seen in the remaining games. However, the bowling department almost remains the same.

All the 5 ODIs will be held at Visakhapatnam. The final game will be played on October 15. The warm-up games will be held on October 17 and 19.

At the moment, India A are playing the second and final unofficial Test against New Zealand A. India already have won the first by an innings and 31 runs.

Following which India will play 3-match ODI and 3-match T20Is against New Zealand.
