Six arrested in betting racket

Six persons have been arrested for allegedly being involved in a cricket betting racket here and Rs 22,000 was seized from them, officials said on Thursday.

 

The six were taken into custody on Wednesday following a raid at a shop near here, a City Crime Branch statement said.

 

Goods worth Rs one lakh, including mobile phones and a television, were also recovered, it added.
