Bollywood actress Nupur Mehta who made headlines recently for her involvement in alleged fixed match between India and Pakistan in the World Cup last year made a comment on a TV show that she would love to date India s batting sensation Virat Kohli.

Nupur made the comment on the popular TV show Movers & Shakers hosted by Shekhar Suman. The actress was asked about her alleged role in the fixing scam, to which she answered by saying that she has no links with any of the bookies or cricketers.

When asked by Shekhar whether she would personally like to thank Virat Kohli for his innings against Pakistan in Asia Cup, Nupur was quick to reply on a lighter note by asking Shekhar to “fix” a match with Virat.

Shekhar replied, “I am not involving myself in any ‘fixing’ and I would like to stay away from it.”

She added that Sachin Tendulkar and Virat are her personal favourite cricketers and that she chooses them over Bollywood heartthrobs Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.

Nupur was quoted by Times of India as saying, “I am a free, young girl from independent nation and I have been facing allegations that I have fixed the Indo-Pak semifinal which took place during World Cup 2011.

“If I am so powerful that I can fix matches and so many Pakistani players listen to me then I should go and stand in the elections in Pakistan and hopefully even win elections due to my popularity. Actually, I am just a poor, innocent Indian girl and they are blaming me for nothing at all.”

Earlier, Nupur had rubbished allegations that she was involved in match-fixing in last year’s World Cup Cricket semi-final between India and Pakistan at Mohali and threatened to sue a London daily.
