Sourav Ganguly announces all-time ODI and Test XI; names himself in both

After former Indian skipper Kapil Dev announced his all-time ODI XI, Sourav Ganguly has named his all-time ODI and Test XI, naming himself in both the line-ups.

According to a report on NDTV, Ganguly named himself as Sachin Tendulkar’s opening partner in the 50-over format of the game. In Tests, he named Gundappa Viswanath as an alternative to his spot. Ganguly also picked Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble as the only two spinners in the Test squad. Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman have been named as the 12th man of the ODI and Test side respectively.

Among the current crop of players, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has found his way into another veteran’s all-time team as Ganguly picked him in the ODI team. Delhi dasher Virat Kohli also made it to the team. Ganguly also picked current skipper MS Dhoni in both his teams.

The other youngster to figure in Ganguly’s ODI team is Virat Kohli. The Delhi star’s growing stature in international cricket is being noticed by the game’s pundits and hasn’t escaped Ganguly’s attention.
