Apart from India becoming the first country to lift the U-19 World Cup for the record fourth time, there is another special occasion. This one is exclusively for Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). CAB, on Saturday, celebrated its 90th Foundation Day and also the 38th Frank Worrell Day at Eden Gardens. As a part of the occasion, CAB Trustee Board Chairman Sri Goutam Dasgupta hoisted the flag along with President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Abhishek Dalmiya. Meanwhile, other CAB dignitaries also graced their presence.

In addition, a friendly match was played between President XI and Trustee Board Chairman XI.

Ganguly, for obvious reasons, attracted maximum eyeballs at Eden Gardens. After a long while, the former Indian skipper was seen out with the bat at his home ground. Earlier, he had also wished the Indian U-19 team, under Rahul Dravid, for their immaculate performance and complete dominance over Australia to regain the cup.

Talking about CAB, it was formed on February 1928. It has come a long way in nurturing young talents and prompting their game through utmost fairness. Ganguly and his troops have made sure to organise various tournaments (for U-13, U-16, U-19, U-21) and conduct other national and international tournaments.
