Sourav Ganguly didn’t find Chennai Super Kings-Rajasthan Royals IPL 2013 match suspicious: Reports

Sourav Ganguly, the former India captain, is said to have given a “clean-chit” to an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 contest between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. This match had come under the scanner as the Justice Mukul Mudgal-led panel started looking into the controversy. However, Ganguly, who is a part of the panel, has apparently not spotted anything suspicious about the game.

The Observer reported that sources say that Ganguly gave that game a clean chit, and it was a part of the interim report that was submitted by the panel to the Supreme Court. Moreover, the Mudgal committee was in Mumbai over the weekend and are said to have conducted a secret meeting.

BB Mishra, a member of the panel, may question some players once they return from their tour to England. A source was quoted, “(N) Srinivasan and his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan have not been questioned so far but they are bound to be called at the concluding stage of the inquiries.”
