Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has bee re-appointed as the chairperson of the ICC men’s cricket committee, along with his national teammate of a long time, VVS Laxman also being picked to be one of the panel member.

Sourav Ganguly led the team for five years from the year 2000 to 2005, and was appointed as committee’s chairman for the first time in 2021. Now, Ganguly has replaced Anil Kumble, who stepped down after serving maximum of three, three-year terms.

Along with Ganguly and Laxman, former Afghanistan pacer Hamid Hasan, West Indies great Desmond Haynes, South Africa’s Test and ODI skipper Temba Bavuma, and former-England batter Jonathan Trott were also appointed.

The new members of the ICC women’s cricket committee comprises of former New Zealand off-spinner Catherine Campbell as the chairperson, along with former Australian player Avril Fahey and Pholetsi Moseki from Cricket South Africa (CSA) as the other members.
