South Africa Great Reveals All-Time T20 XI: MS Dhoni as captain, 0 from Pakistan

Former South African all-rounder Chris Morris recently named his all-time T20 XI. Five Indian players managed to secure their spot in the team while no Pakistan player was included in the team.

Along with India players, Morris took three players from West Indies and one from Sri Lanka, Australia and South Africa each.

Morris picked Rohit Sharma as his dream opener. Morris said he found Rohit to be one of the toughest batters he had to face, adding the fact that Rohit has a record in T20 cricket, amassing more than 4000 runs in internationals and more than 11000 runs in T20s. Morris added Chris Gayle, especially since he is known as one of the best T20 batters.

Virat Kohli was given the third place. However, he was then dropped to fourth and AB de Villiers was given the third number. Morris explained that De Villiers needs to face the most balls and hence was given the third place.

“At three, probably my best player, I would put him in, because he needs to face more balls than anyone, and that’s AB de Villiers,” he said.

Morris added strong force as his lower middle order and picked Kieron Pollard, MS Dhoni, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Morris was fascinated by MS Dhoni’s leadership and hence named him the captain of his T20 team.
