South Africa will take on England in the first of the Two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches at Cape Town. This two-match T20I series will act as an prelude to the ICC World T20 2016 clash in India. AB de Villiers will hand over the captaincy to Faf Du Plessis, who will also led the team in the World T20 event. South Africa will be high on confidence after their 3-2 victory over England, helped by De Villiers’s brilliant century in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI). With Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock and Du Plessis looking in good touch in the ODIs it can be expected that they will play a key role in the fortunes of the hosts. England will go into the series in good spirits after their 44 run victory against South Africa A in a tour game. Alex Hales continued his good form with the bat, with Eoin Morgan chipping in. Hales made 78 runs off 52 balls opening the innings, while it was Morgan’s onslaught that helped his team get across 200 runs mark. Morgan hit as many as five sixes in his innings of 42 off just 13 deliveries.

South Africa will be boosted with the return of Dale Steyn who missed the ODI and Test series sidelined due to an injury. Even English team is running though their injury worries as Liam Plunkett’s participation is still not sure. Plunkett was named as replacement for Steven Finn, did not board flight to South Africa after injuring himself as well.
