David Miller scored an aggressive half-century of just 50 deliveries against West Indies. His partnership with AB de Villiers is now worth more than 100 runs, taking South Africa over the 200-run mark in the 33rd over. Both batsmen are scoring runs freely and if things continue in this vein, South Africa could even post 350 runs. The West Indian bowling has lost its fizz after the early overs.

Earlier in the innings South Africa won the toss and elected to bat. They were in deep trouble with opener Rilee Rossouw and Faf du Plessis both falling on ducks leaving South Africa in a spot of bother at 16 for two. Jerome Taylor has taken two wickets so far. Newly crowned skipper, Jason Holder also bowled well early on but has nothing to show for his effort.
