South Africa opening batsman, Dean Elgar scored his third half-century in Test cricket against West Indies in the second of the three-match Test series at St. George’s Park in Port Elizabeth at Boxing-Day on Friday. His half-century came off 127 deliveries that included eight boundaries with a strike-rate of 40.09.

His last half-century was back in July this year when he scored 103 against Sri Lanka at Galle. Currently, he is batting with his partner, Faf du Plessis who is batting on 27 while South Africa are 108 for the loss of a wicket. Earlier, West Indies won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first.
