West Indies face off against South Africa in the second of the three-match Test series at St. George’s Park in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday as Day 5 kicks off. West Indies are down to the final pair of their innings after Imran Tahir and Morne Morkel struck post-tea on Day 4 as the West Indies score read 275 for the loss of nine.

Earlier, Marlon Samuels and opener, Kraigg Brathwaite scored twin blistering centuries to put West Indies in control. However, the celebrations didn’t last long as both were dismissed in consecutive deliveries and the big partnership of 176 runs totally came to an end. Samuels was trapped leg-before by Vernon Philander while Brathwaite was caught by Alviro Petersen off Morkel.

The post-tea session saw a total collapse of the Windies innings as the lower-order batsmen failed to contribute and fell like a pile of cards and in no-time they lost five wickets to be down to the final pair. It remains to be seen, how far can West Indies travel with the final pair.
