Having already conceded the series to South Africa, West Indies looked to make the most out of this encounter. The visitors won the toss and elected to field, with the rain reducing the match to 42 overs per side. Hashim Amla and Rilee Rossouw scored centuries, adding 247 runs for the third wicket. South Africa ended with a scoring rate of 8.59 per over.
