South Africa Women set a target of 103 runs for Australia Women in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2016

South Africa Women struggled and managed to post 102 runs against Australia Women, in ICC Women's World T20 2016.

South Africa Women struggled and managed to post just 102 runs for the lo0ss of six wickets against Australia Women, in Super 10 , Match 6 of the ICC Women’s World T20 2016, at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Friday. Earlier, South Africa skipper Mignon du Preez won the toss and elected to bat first, as both the teams moved in with a balanced side. The openers were off to a solid start as they in the form of Dane van Niekerk and Trisha Chetty put up the opening 72-run stand, before van Niekerk fell for a healthy 45 to Kristen Beams, after being caught by Rene Farrell, in the 13th over. She was quickly followed by Lizelle Lee, who fell for a mere single to Lauren Cheatle, after being bowled by  in the very next over, after three more runs were added. The partnership didn’t seem to be working, following the disturbance of the opening partnership, as at the score of 87, it was Trish Chetty, who fell for a healthy 34 to Lauren Cheatle after being caught by Jess Jonassen. With just three runs added to the total, it was Marizanne Kapp, who fell for a mere single to Ellyse Perry, after being caught by Erin Osborne in the 18th over. The next over saw the dismissal of Sene Luss, who fell for a mere couple off an unfortunate run out, as the score read 98 for the loss of five, and it was on the same score in the next over, it was Dinesha Devnarain, who fell to Cheatle for an unfortunate duck, after being caught by Alex Blackwell, as it was the pair of Mignon du Preez and Shabnim Ismail, that batted out as they finished on a below par total of 102 for the loss of six.
