Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews bagged the best batsman in Tests award at the Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2014. Among bowlers, left-arm spinner Rangana Herath bagged the best bowler of the year.

Sangakkara has been the leading run-scorer overall in Tests this year with 1431 in 19 innings at an average of 79.50 with 319 being his highest. On the other hand skipper Angelo Mathews has scored 1044 runs in 18 innings with 160 being his highest. The third highest run-getter is also a Sri Lankan — Mahela Jayawardene who recently retired from Tests.

Among bowlers, Rangana Herath has been the leading wicket-taker in Tests with 56 wickets at an average of 27.17. The thirdi n leading wickets is also a Sri Lankan — Dilruwan Perera.
