The launch event of Dialog Sri Lanka Cricket Awards (SLCA) took place at Taj Samudra hotel in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo. The actual event where cricketers will be honoured is scheduled to take place on October 19, 2015 i.e. 20 days later. The award is given to Sri Lankan cricketers and cricket clubs to acknowledge their contributions and achievements. A lot of key members of SLC were present in the launch event— Sidath Wettimuny (SLC Interim Committee Chairman), Praksh Shaffter (SLC Interim Committee Secretary), Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews and a lot more. Wettimuny was quoted by news.lk saying, “For the third consecutive year, Dialog Sri Lanka Cricket Awards is gearing up in grand fashion to honour the men and women who have risen above others to shine as stars of the game.
