Sri Lanka vs England 2014: Swing bowlers could be key, feels James Tredwell
SL vs Eng: Swing bowlers key to series: Tredwell

Dec 3, 2014
England off spinner James Tredwell spoke of the confidence that he has in the swing bowlers at the disposal of his side. With the injury to fast bowler James Anderson it has been Chris Woakes, who has been handed the responsibility of opening the bowling.
Talking about Woakes to The Telegraph he said,“He’s always been a good cricketer, hasn’t he?” Tredwell said of Woakes. “The exposure to international cricket can improve you, and he’s certainly bedded into the level very nicely and is putting in the performances to show that. He’s a great lad and proving to be a very good cricketer as well.”
Steven Finn, who has picked up 59 wickets in his 39 One Day International (ODI) so far, could also play a vital role and might be one of England’s best chance if they are to get back in the seven match series.
“Maybe some of our skills may not be up to scratch and that is what we’re trying to put right,” Tredwell said. “We’re working really hard in training and those skills have been highlighted by us, and equally by others, and we’re trying day-in, day-out to improve those skills. Whether it is bowling or with the bat, we’re really putting in the work to try and improve, and the challenge is to put it into practice in the middle.”
Being 2-0 down in the series against Sri Lanka, England will look to bounce back in the next ODI in Hambantota on December 3.
