Sri Lanka vs England 2nd ODI Colombo 2014: Thisara Perera sends Eoin Morgan back

Joe Root and Eoin Morgan were in the process of rebuilding for England before Morgan chipped one straight to extra cover of the bowling off Thisara Perera in the second One-Day international between Sri Lanka and England at Colombo. England have now lost their 4th wicket with just 75 on the board. Morgan has been struggling for form off late, having scored just one half century in his last seven ODIs. Ravi Bopara has joined Root in the middle.

Earlier England won the toss and elected to bat first in the second One-Day international against Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo. The Start of the the second One-Day international between Sri Lanka and England at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo was rescheduled to 11:15 am. The match has been reduced to 45 overs per side. The delay was caused by Scattered thunderstorms that Colombo has been at the receiving end of. In case the match is not completed today, it contunies from where it stops today. there is a reserve day for each of the seven ODIs, keeping in mind that rain is expected to play a part at this time of the year.
