Sri Lanka vs New Zealand 1st T20 at Pallekele abandoned due to rain
Nov 19, 2013
The first Twenty20 International between Sri Lanka and New Zealand was on Tuesday called off without a ball being bowled, due to persistent rains at Pallekele.
The second and final match of the T20 series will be played at the same venue — Pallekele International Cricket Stadium — on November 21.
The three-match One-Day International (ODI) series was severely hampered by rains as the second match of the series was washed out. Both the sides had won a game each.
In the ODI series, New Zealand sealed a thrilling win by four wickets in the first game, while the hosts won the third and the final match to draw level.
