Teams
Sri Lanka
Angelo Mathews should be back in the playing XI for the opening Test of the series. He had missed the South Africa series due to an injury. Niroshan Dickwella should also be back in the national team after being dropped for World Cup 2019.
Mitchell Santner, Will Somerville, Todd Astle and Ajaz Patel are four spinners in Kiwiâs bowling department. Santner and Patel look set to be included in playing XI. Somerville does have an edge over Astle but the latterâs leg-spin could go in his favour. Tim Southee and Trent Boult will lead the pace attack, which means that Neil Wagner could be benched.
Playing XI: Jeet Raval, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson (Captain), Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling (Wicketkeeper), Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, William Somerville, Trent Boult, Ajaz Patel
