Mahela Jayawardene and Angelo Mathews combined to make a 100-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against Pakistan in the second One-Day International at Hambantota. Both batsman helped the Sri Lankan side recover, who were reeling at 75 for four at one time.

Earlier, Kumar Sangakkara was playing for Sri Lanka, but fell on 25 to a Mohammad Hafeez delivery. Before the series, the two teams faced off in a two-match Test series which was won 2-0 by Sri Lanka.

Both teams will look to strike the right team balance ahead of ICC World Cup 2015.
