Sri Lanka host Pakistan for the second of the five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) at Pallekele. Pakistan thrashed Sri Lanka in the first ODI, riding on all-round performance of Mohammad Hafeez. He picked up a four-for and gave away just 41 runs in his 10 overs. There is rain predicted during the afternoon. However, it is unlikely to effect the proceedings of the match. Sri Lanka are yet to come to terms with the retirement of their two stalwarts Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. Their batting looks brittle at best, with only Tillakaratne Dilshan and Angelo Mathews providing any sort of stability. Dinesh Chandimal and Lahiru Thirimanne have proved their mettle in the past, but still lack the consistency to be counted as threats by the opposition. Angelo Mathews, the Sri Lankan skipper has not been the best of forms and will want to put in a better performance and led from the front like his opposite captain, Azhar Ali has been doing. Pakistan are coming off a loss against Bangladesh and will wish to return to winning ways soon.
