Jan 8, 2014
Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bowl against Pakistan in the second Test match of the three-test series, starting in Dubai from Wednesday.
The two teams played out a topsy-turvy draw in the first Test, as the momentum swung from Pakistan’s end to Sri Lanka’s favour as the Test match progressed.
The Dubai track is known to assist spinners right from Day One. In the last match, Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka bowled marginally better than Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal, but neither of them posed any serious threat to the batsmen. Both of them, along with the other spinners, will be expecting alot more purchase from the track for the second Test.
Pakistan have replaced the injured Adnan Akmal by including Sarfraz Ahmed in the playing XI. Right-arm seamer, Nuwan Pradeep is making a comeback into the Sri Lankan line-up after almost a year.
