In the 2009-10 Twenty20 season, Victorians were a tough side to beat. New South Wales tried hard but David Hussey seemed to be taking the game away. They needed 26 from 16, and had seven wickets in hand.

Hussey was batting on 38 off 15 balls and Dwayne Smith, who earlier took an unbelievable catch of Cameron White (add link), was the bowler.

Dwayne Smith bowled a good length ball and Hussey smashed it aerial towards the long-off. Steve Smith, who was standing near the boundary at long off, stretched his right hand and timed his jump to perfection to pluck an incredible catch. His balance was commendable and it not only dismissed the free-flowing Hussey but also stopped six crucial runs and added one to the dot ball.

Despite two amazing classic catches by the two Smiths – Dwayne and Steve for New South Wales, Victoria went on to win the match by six wickets.
