Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face off with Delhi Daredevils (DD) in Match 42 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. We are almost into the last leg of the league matches. And, so far, this T20 extravaganza has been a perfect blend of conventional as well as modern-day cricket; a mixture of one-sided and nail-biting encounters. Meanwhile, these two teams have been displaying quality game of cricket with their all-round performances. While SRH are the rampant table-toppers, DD are placed at No. 4. These mighty teams will lock horns with each other for the first time in this edition. Let’s walk through the preview of this beauty of a contest. Live Cricket Scorecard: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Daredevils, IPL 2016, Match 42 at Hyderabad

SRH’s fiery pace attack: We witnessed Ashish Nehra’s heroics in the last over of the cliffhanger against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) earlier this week. Though the old warhorse was out of action after he sustained an injury in the initial stage of the league, he made a remarkable comeback by registering back-to-back three-for’s. To partner him with the new ball is the accurate Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Currently the owner of the Purple Cap, Bhuvneshwar has been getting the better of the batsmen by hitting the right T20 line and swinging it both ways.

He, along with Mustafizur Rahman, has played a key role in containing the onslaught and put the team in a commanding position. Mustafizur has been one of the heartening aspects of the tournament and is at the 5th spot in the Purple Cap list. Moreover, Moises Henriuques and Barindran Sran have helped their fellow pacers keep the batmen quiet at the other end. Quinton de Kock: DD have not lost winning momentum yet

DD’s batting firepower: None of DD’s batsmen feature in top five of the Orange Cap list. However, they boast of the most balanced batting line-up of this season. While Quinton de Kock firing on all cylinders at the top, Sam Billing and Chris Morris have played some breathtaking knocks of the tournament. What makes their batting a potent threat is, they have technically immaculate batters—such as Sanju Samson and Karun Nair—to anchor as well solidify a run-chase.

Yuvraj Singh’s dominating show: Despite being out of the better part of the event due to injury, the superstar did not lose his mettle. With his match-winning skills, SRH tasted victory ever since he made a comeback. With torrid cameos of 23 and 39 and a spectacular run-out of MS Dhoni, Yuvraj has helped SRH emerge triumphant even in crunch situations.

DD’s hot and cold performance: With 5 wins and 4 defeats, DD have been blowing hot and cold so far. They have imploded in a number of matches they deserved to win. Like their captain Zaheer Khan, they have to come good as a cohesive unit and apply themselves sensibly to reserve a place in the playoffs stage. Nonetheless, victory in this match will place them at No. 3. David Warner is dead serious about his cricket these days, says Ravi Shastri

A battle of nerves: While DD have Rahul Dravid, SRH have VVS Laxman as their mentor. Both these former cricketers have helped their team win with a methodical approach. Plus, to have experienced captains in Zaheer and David Warner, it has helped the young guns display a stellar show in this T20 domestic spectacle.

To add more fire, both teams have equally good bowling as well batting department. While Warner and Shikhar Dhawan have been setting the scoreboard on fire, Zaheer and Amit Mishra have been going great guns. Thus, whichever team holds its nerve better shall be on the door step of victory.
