Suresh Raina answers call from PM Narendra Modi for ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’

Raina tweeted that cleanliness is "a reflection of our civilization (sic)."

Indian batsman Suresh Raina tweeted about being nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ‘Swachchta Abhiyaan.’ Raina, who is currently playing the One-Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka, said he will gladly answer the call once he returns to his home in Uttar Pradesh (UP) after the series ended.


 

 


Raina then tweeted in support of the campaign, mentioning that cleanliness is “a reflection of our civilization (sic)” and that it should no longer be just a dream.


 

 


The left-handed batsman is one of the most experienced players in India’s current ODI team, and recently celebrated scoring his 5000th run, incidentally in his 200th ODI appearance for India.
